Tilodi Wilderness, a piece of Africa, is situated in the heart of the bushveld, set in 4000 hectares (10 000 acres), close to the foothills of the Waterberg. This is the African bushveld at its best.

Tilodi Wilderness offers the visitor a combination of rolling hills, wetlands and seasonal rivers with excellent game viewing and birding. To date, our bird list exceeds 296 species including the long tailed shrike, or Tilodi, with game such as sable antelope, tsessebe, eland, waterbuck, wildebeest, zebra and giraffe, as well as rhino, buffalo, hippo and leopard.

Tilodi Wilderness is well situated less than two hours drive from O R Tambo International Airport and Sandton, an easy drive on good roads. At Tilodi Wilderness guests are offered a wide range of accommodation options as well as a bushveld experience under guidance of highly experienced rangers with an intimate knowledge of the area.

Whether you choose to walk or be driven in our open game drive vehicles, the emphasis is on experiencing African fauna and flora, on a first hand intimate basis.

We conduct game drives, trails, walks, bush courses, birding, perhaps even a little history (the first owner was President Kruger, but before him Stone Age people roamed the area).

Intimate and exclusive, this retreat specialises in conferences, corporate "bosberaads" and exclusive weddings. Catering is superb bushveld cuisine, variable to cater for your essential needs.
